On 16 July 2025, OnePoint had the honour of visiting the University of Saint La Salle – Bacolod (USLS) in the Philippines for a meaningful exchange around academic-industry collaboration. Representing OnePoint, Kerim was warmly welcomed by Br. Kenneth Martinez FSC, university president, alongside esteemed faculty members from the Yu An Log College of Business and Accountancy.
This visit marked the beginning of what promises to be a productive and mutually enriching relationship—anchored in the shared goal of shaping future business leaders who are not only academically excellent, but also equipped with real-world skills and forward-thinking mindsets.
A Meeting of Minds: Insights from the Discussion
During the visit, Kerim engaged in a roundtable discussion with faculty members on how education and industry can align more closely to prepare students for a dynamic global business environment. Topics covered included:
- The integration of practical business cases and emerging technologies into the curriculum
- Opportunities for OnePoint to offer guest lectures and industry immersion programs
- Developing pathways for internships and mentorships that offer hands-on experience
- Exploring joint research projects and knowledge-sharing forums that benefit both parties
What emerged from the session was a clear synergy—both the university and OnePoint recognised the importance of bridging the gap between theoretical learning and practical application.
Investing in the Next Generation of Business Professionals
As a strategic advisory and marketing firm, OnePoint is no stranger to innovation and agile thinking. We believe these qualities should be cultivated early—and that starts with education. By engaging with academic institutions such as USLS, we’re able to contribute to shaping a workforce that’s not just ready for today’s challenges, but prepared for tomorrow’s opportunities. This visit also symbolises OnePoint’s broader commitment to cross-border knowledge exchange, fostering stronger ties between Australia and the Philippines through education, innovation, and shared values.
What’s Next?
With initial conversations setting the stage for deeper collaboration, the team at OnePoint looks forward to co-developing meaningful programs with USLS that serve both students and the wider business community.
Whether through guest lectures, collaborative workshops, or internship placements, our goal is simple: empower the next generation to think critically, act strategically, and lead confidently.
Because the future of business doesn’t start in boardrooms—it starts in classrooms.
