Polini Motori Spa boasts a robust presence in the domestic market, with over 3,200 points of sale, and extends its reach to more than 60 countries worldwide through a meticulously organized and highly qualified sales network.
The journey of Polini Motori traces back to 1945, a pivotal period in post-war Italy when bicycles were the primary mode of transportation. Battista Polini, the founder, returned from the frontlines and established his own workshop, specializing in bicycle manufacturing. As Italy experienced a resurgence fuelled by industrial development, Polini’s commitment to innovation and excellence remained unwavering. This dedication led to the company’s evolution into a global leader in designing and producing specialized components for scooters and Maxi scooters.
In the early 1990s, Polini embarked on a new venture, producing a series of Minibikes that epitomized the essence of Italian craftsmanship and featured cutting-edge technical solutions. These miniature Grand Prix bikes, proudly “Made in Italy,” served as the launching pad for numerous MotoGP champions, including the legendary Valentino Rossi. Additionally, in 1997, Polini introduced a line of Minicross bikes with 2T engines, which played a pivotal role in shaping the careers of many MXGP and MX2 champions.
Since 2009, Polini’s product portfolio has expanded with the introduction of the Polini Thor brand, offering a comprehensive range of 2-stroke paramotor engines ranging from 80cc to 250cc to meet the diverse needs of flight enthusiasts. This strategic move has resulted in numerous national and world titles across various disciplines.
In September 2016, Polini Motori unveiled its latest innovation: the ground-breaking E-P3 electric motor for e-bikes. This initiative underscores the company’s commitment to environmental sustainability and reflects the growing trend towards eco-friendly lifestyles.
From its humble beginnings in 1945, Polini Motori has traversed a remarkable journey, expanding its presence to over 64 countries worldwide while maintaining its headquarters in Alzano Lombardo, Bergamo, a testament to its enduring legacy and unwavering dedication to excellence.
